Electronic delivery

Use your safe mailbox on the internet with your mobile phone signature.

The E-delivery is your secure and central mailbox for electronic documents. Once you have registered with an electronic delivery service, you can securely receive documents from different authorities (extracts from criminal records, confirmation of registration etc.) and companies (purchase contracts, policies etc.) through your free electronic mailbox. When an electronic document for you reaches your delivery service, you will be notified by e-mail or SMS. You can then download, view, forward, print or archive the document.

E-delivery means...

...maximum securitythrough the use of mobile phone signatures or citizen cards.

Your activated mobile phone (mobile phone signature) or your activated E-Card (citizen card) will become a virtual identity card, with which you can identify yourself not only on the internet. You can also use it to digitally sign documents or invoices. In case you have not activated the mobile phone signature on your mobile phone or your E-card as a citizen card so far, you will find all the necessary information (e.g. What is the mobile signature or citizen card? How do I obtain it?) at buergerkarte.at.

...convenient access to delivered documents also while you are travelling.

As a further important feature of service-oriented administration, E-delivery enables private individuals and companies to access electronically delivered documents around the clock, 7 days a week. This saves time and money with increased convenience.

...one electronic mailbox for all deliverie irrespective of who delivers them.

Official RSa- or RSb-letters are usually sent by post. If the addressee is not available, then she or he must go to the post office to collect the document by presenting an identity document. Electronic delivery helps you avoiding the "yellow note" and the time-consuming procedure. A one-time and free registration with an electronic delivery service is sufficient to access official documents comfortably via the internet.

...a cost-effective and secure alternative for verifiable deliveries also for non-official documents.

Not only public authorities can use the system of E-delivery. Also non-official documents can be verifiably sent or received via an electronic delivery service. Especially for companies this option and the associated security in the dispatch of contracts, policies, invoices and so on is getting more and more interesting.

...absences are also possible in the electronic world if you don't have access to the Internet at some point.

If you are unable to receive electronic deliveries for a certain period of time, you can easily deactivate your mailbox for this period. You will then not receive any electronic deliveries. Please note that in this case the deliveries are sent by post as usual.

If – despite registering with an electronic delivery service – you receive a document from an authority by post, the reason is that not all authorities have yet taken advantage of electronic delivery. However, the number of authorities using electronic delivery is constantly increasing.
